Think of us at Vizion Windows as specialists in both windows and doors in the Houston area. Even though we are well known for our replacement windows, we also have installed hundreds upon hundreds of doors.  We’ve put in Storm Doors, Wood and Fiberglass Entry Doors, Steel Paneled Doors, Aluminum Clad Wood and Fiberglass Hinged Patio Doors, and Aluminum Sliding Doors, but I would say that the most popular is still the Vinyl Sliding Patio Door.

Our vinyl replacement windows and doors are available in our Home Standard, Home Comfort as well as our Home Security lines. The Home Standard series of our vinyl sliding patio doors have a wonderful set of standard features that can be customized in a great number of ways.

Here is a list of features that you will find in every one of these doors (unless you ask not to have them):

• TRIPLE Lock Security! All of our doors come with keyed lock on the handle, a thumb-turn deadbolt at the top of the operating panel, and last but not least, a convenient kick-lock located on the track of EVERY door.
• Heavy Duty galvanized steel reinforced interlocking rails for maximum strength and security.
• Thermally Broken aluminum sill or optional vinyl sill for enhanced thermal performance.
• Cardinal’s Low-E 366 with argon gas – This is the highest performing low-e glass available. It offers significantly superior energy saving performance while only slightly reducing the amount of visible light over our competitor’s standard low-e offerings.
• Super Spacer – We use only use this type of “warm edge” spacer because it has proven to be at the very top of energy efficiency performance.
• Lifetime Warranty* – Our vinyl sliding patio doors have a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer. This warranty is transferrable and the 2nd homeowner has a 25 year warranty from the date of installation. Our windows can also be transferred to a 3rd homeowner with a warranty of 10 years from the date of installation.
• Accidental Glass Breakage Warranty* – It is pretty self explanatory. If the lawnmower kicks up a rock or the neighbor kid accidentally throws a baseball through the window the glass will be covered.
• Easy to Clean Glass – Our windows have special glass that is Hydrophobic. That means that it has a special coating that makes it very difficult for dirt, dust or water to “grab” onto because the special coating fills in the microscopic gaps present in standard glass.

The Home Security Door has every feature listed above but with Laminated Glass as one of the security glass panes. The other pane is tempered Low-E glass.

The Home Comfort series door has all of the features of the Home Standard series except with triple pane glass.

We also use the strong, thermally broken aluminum door from Don Young Company. This door has a very long history of reliability.

BUT THESE ARE NOT ALL THE DOORS THAT WE ARE WILLING TO INSTALL! I can’t tell you how many times we have been out, giving a quote to a customer on windows and they ask us about door. Usually they have already found and fell in love with the door they want at one of the big box stores. That’s OK, we don’t mind, you pick it out and pay for it and we will install it for you.
